Last Friday, after a busy week, we hopped in the car and made our way to Den Helder, in the north of Holland. There, we caught the ferry over to Texel, one of five little islands in the Dutch Wadden Sea.

The weather was beautiful and we stayed with family in a lovely villa. On Saturday, we made our way to the 'HavenVIStijn' (a goofy Dutch "word joke") and I snapped some pics of the action. On Sunday, we spent the entire day on the beach catching tons of rays before heading home.

Texel is such a great place to go for a mini-holiday during the summer in Holland. A ticket for pedestrians is only €2.50 for a quick trip of 20 minutes. Well worth it!
